FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JobTank to Offer Real Jobs and a New Way to Bait Job Phishers (Seattle, WA - November 27, 2008) It's easy for job seekers to mistake bogus job offers for legitimate work. PhishBucket's new JobTank protects job seekers a step further by only listing offers from verified employers and recruiters, while screening out and exposing fraudulent submissions as they happen. PhishBucket.org, a nonprofit organization that has been tracking and investigating suspicious and fraudulent job offers since 2006, announced the launch of JobTank today. Their aim is simple: to provide scam-free job listings and stop job phishers in their tracks. Employers and recruiters who want to post jobs will go through the same checks and balances used to investigate fraudulent offers. "We don't want job seekers to have to read between the lines of a job offer anymore," said founder and CEO Tabatha Marshall, who hopes the verification process will be a deterrent to would-be scammers. "Jobs from genuine employers and recruiters will be approved quickly because of the best practices they tend to follow." Job phishers, on the other hand, might just find their offers on display in the PhishBucket instead. "Our commitment has always been to protect the job seeker's anonymity, not the scammers." So if the verification process is tougher, how do employers and recruiters benefit? Not only will the JobTank listings be seen by hundreds of thousands of job seekers, but the prices per listing are comparable to the bulk rates of the big-name job boards. But PhishBucket doesn't believe the JobTank should be perceived as competition to anyone. Driven by their pledge to continually protect and inform job seekers, all revenue earned through the sale of job listings will be applied to PhishBucket's operations. "We just want to see everyone get back to work as safely as possible." Contact : Tabatha Marshall – tabatha / at / tabathamarshall / dot / com Subject : JobTank
