I unwittingly filled out one of these forms before (stupid, stupid, stupid!) and finally decided to do some research on them.  I generally get a couple a week that are very similar in nature.

This offer, from a company called The Employment Space, incluces a link to findemploymentspace.com. but when we followed the link we were redirected to employmentaxis.com. There is a form on the page, and in addition to requesting your contact info they also want to know your cell phone provider. While the company may only be asking in order to send you "promotional offers", let's consider what happens if the wrong person gets your cell phone carrier info. Skip tracers out there everywhere will tell you that it's not that difficult to impersonate the cell phone owner, get into the account, and not only get your address, but also your payment info. Whether you pay your cell bill through your bank account or a credit card, that info would then be exposed and usable by scammers.

We checked out the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions and were amused by their questionable use of language regarding third party advertising:

The WHOIS on employmentaxis.com reports the Website Title as "Career Network" but the registrant is reportedly Destiny Careers. You don't run into this sort of thing with well-known national recruiters and employers. Career Network owns *thousands* of domains and Destiny Careers owns just over 1200 domains themselves. You have to ask why Career Network needs thousands of web sites to operate. Seems to us like they're more interested in targeting advertisers than helping you find work. But it's because of the unusually high number of domains they own with cookie-cutter sites that we find it suspicious.
