Job scam victims--the media wants to hear from you! |

Thursday, 03 September 2009 |
Ever since we were mentioned in the NY Times, representatives from television, radio and newspapers have been contacting PhishBucket and asking if there are any job scam victims out there willing to share their experience for stories they're working on.
If you've had a run-in with a job scam and you're willing to talk to someone in the media, please leave a comment at the bottom of this article and tell us a little about what happened. You don't have to leave your full name (we prefer you don't, actually), but we do need your email address so we can contact you if someone from the media wants to reach you for their article or news piece. Don't worry--your email address will NOT be published for others to see or shared with any third party under any circumstances; we prefer to send media contact information to you as opposed to the other way around.
By leaving your comment, you'll be helping countless numbers of people from becoming victims themselves...not only do our site visitors benefit from reading your comment, but people who might not otherwise know how to spot a job scam might read about you in the paper. Just think: your stories are so important that the media reached out to us to find brave souls who aren't afraid to speak out about their experience.
If someone in the media wants to contact you, a PhishBucket representative will email you and provide the full contact information so you can contact them. If you are unable to initiate contact, we will give them your contact info, but only with your written permission, and only what you choose to divulge.
If you're thinking about it but still not sure, ask your question in a comment. We'll gladly publish the answer for all to see.
Share your phish-story ~ spare a new victim ~ enjoy a moment in the spotlight ~ pat yourself on the back!
