Ah, a lovely re-shipping scheme. Typical: a foreigner, supposedly in the UK, and who claims to own an art gallery, needs you to receive his packages of electronics, clothing and other goods and to do his shopping.

So this is kind of like a re-shipping scam, but with a twist. You'd be buying goods using stolen funds and would have them shipped to yourself. What isn't said, but often happens, is that you end up shipping them to another address. He'll make up some reason why you have to send the goods elsewhere (he's sending a gift to a friend, rewarding a past employee, etc). The goal is to create a trail that implicates everyone but himself. So when the police finally figure out how the funds are being used and track you down, guess who's standing there holding the bag with the bright red hands (caught red-handed, so to speak)? Yep, YOU!
